Hallowe'en Hordes Haunt the Children's Library

Ghosts, vampires, and witches . . .
Ballerinas, Thomas the Tank Engines, and Snow White . . .
Close to 200 kids and parents enjoyed Hallowe'en songs and crafts before ascending to the upper floors for some trick or treating.
The staff at Children's were a vampirish variety: bikers . . . Lestat and Lilly Munster look-a-likes . . . caped and fanged and ready to greet the visitors. See all the photos from the event on London Public Library's Flickr page.

This book is about a little girl who wants to go fishing in the cracks in the ocean ice but she is not allowed to do that. She goes anyways and the ice monsters get her. Her mother and father save her.
I liked this book because at the end of the book she listened to her parents. Mackenzie, age 5.
